Machine intelligence company Primer has announced the additions of Raymond Anthony “Tony” Thomas III and VeraLinn “Dash” Jamieson to its advisory board.
The duo is to provide counsel and strategic advice as Primer expands its partnership with the Defense Department and the intelligence community.
Thomas is a retired four-star general and was the 11th commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command. Jamieson is a retired three-star general and former deputy chief of staff for Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance.
Analysts and operators grapple with increasing volume and various sources of intelligence they have to quickly understand and act on, said Primer CEO and founder Sean Gourley.
“Tony and Dash know firsthand that the only way to address this information overload is by pairing analysts with algorithms,” he added. “From their time spent on the battlefield and in the Pentagon, they know exactly what kinds of capabilities our military requires to ensure the safety of the U.S. and its allies. We’re thrilled to have them join our team.”
