Gordon Foster will be joining Serco Inc. as senior vice president and chief financial officer on Oct. 26, 2020, succeeding Gary Shankman, who’s retiring by the yearend.

In his new role, Foster will lead the corporate financial and accounting operations and report to Serco Inc. Chairman and CEO Dave Dacquino, who called Foster “an accomplished leader” with expansive government contracting experience.

“Gordon has a proven track record of leading financial organizations and delivering outstanding results,” Dacquino added. “We look forward to his contributions towards the company’s future growth.”

Foster’s most recent role was CFO for Constellis, where he helped lead the company through a successful debt restructuring. Before that, he was the executive vice president and CFO at ASRC Federal. His career began with Northrop Grumman (formerly Litton PRC), where he served as CFO of the Civil Systems Division, Cyber Solutions Division and Intelligence Systems Division.

Earlier this year, WashingtonExec named Foster a Top 10 CFO to Watch.

In announcing Foster’s hiring, Dacquino also thanked Shankman for his contributions and described him as “one of the most devoted and hardworking individuals here at Serco.”

“On behalf of the entire Serco family, we wish Gary a happy and fulfilling retirement,” Dacquino added.
