Riverside Research has named Lisa Porter to its board of trustees, a role to which she brings nearly 25 years of experience in the defense and technology industries.
Porter previously served as deputy undersecretary of defense for research and engineering, responsible for research, development and prototyping activities across the Defense Department.
Porter currently is co-president and co-founder of LogiQ, Inc., which provides management, scientific and technical consulting services.
She has also held leadership roles at In-Q-Tel, Teledyne Scientific and Imaging, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, NASA and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
Porter served on Riverside Research’s board from 2017-2018, but stepped down when she took the role of deputy undersecretary of defense for research and engineering.
She has a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a doctorate in applied physics from Stanford University.
“I am excited to have Dr. Porter back on the Riverside Research board,” said Steve Omick, the company’s president and CEO. “Her extensive experience in the defense R&D and intelligence communities will help shape our growth strategies here at Riverside Research.”
