Charles Peter Leroy has been named vice president of integration and operations of MITRE Public Sector, and will work to develop and oversee the implementation of operational policies and practices to meet mission needs.
Leroy will also lead the integration of efforts across MITRE’s federally funded research and development centers. Additionally, he will lead coordination in workforce engagement, program execution, business development, financial management and quality assurance.
Bringing over 25 years of experience to the role, Leroy has experience leading business development, strategy, operations and project management in the defense and telecommunications industries. He is also an expert in understanding the impacts of business decisions and operational performance.
Leroy’s track record will be an asset as he steps into his new position and eases collaboration across MITRE’s diverse populations, projects and teams, said Jerry Hogge, senior vice president and general manager of MITRE Public Sector.
“His experience leading complex, large-scale projects will greatly benefit MITRE’s ability to deliver impact to a wide range of challenging problems,” Hogge said.
Leroy previously served as chief of staff of military and health for Leidos Health Group, where he worked in a wide variety of areas including program operations, oversight, supporting capture and business development opportunities.
He has also held leadership positions at Verizon Communications, ReFlex Communications and Sky View World Media.
