Attain, LLC has added John Mandell, a technology consultant focused on transformation engagements across the homeland security market, as managing director of its national security practice.

Mandell has over 10 years of experience in national security and has delivered engagements to Citizen and Immigration Services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Transportation Security Administration, Customs and Border Patrol and others.

He is also an expert in digital transformation including DevSecOps practices, cloud, advanced analytics, process improvement and IT services.

In his new role, Mandell will lead and grow the company’s national security practice focusing on the Department of Homeland Security.

“I am excited to join Attain, a next-generation firm known for driving innovation, emerging technologies and impact to the public sector,” Mandell said. “Attain has strong momentum delivering digital solutions–and beyond–to our national security clients and I’m pleased to be a part of the team.”

Mandell has led complex business development contracts and introduced new technologies to support clients’ missions.

Mandell previously served as director of Guidehouse’s public sector and was a member of Grant Thornton Global’s public sector team. He has also worked at the BearingPoint Oracle practice.

“We are proud to welcome John to Attain,” said Manish Agarwal, Attain president and chief operating officer. “We look forward to his leadership as we continue to bring change and transformation to help secure out nation from the many threats it faces.”
