The Mission Essential Group has merged its two intelligence business units, IMT LLC and Intel Analytics organization, to form Mission Essential Intelligence Solutions, or MEIS.

Over its 17-year history, The Mission Essential Group has successfully recruited over 47,000 professionals, with almost half of those serving the intelligence space. Its IMT business unit has been the lead provider of technical engineering support to the Integrated Broadcast Service since 2006. The company reports its intelligence sector has been its fastest-growing line of business for several years.

With the creation of MEIS, the company said it will streamline its information management system engineering, software development, information assurance, and system sustainment capabilities, along with its expeditionary and operational experience across the Defense Department and intelligence communities.

MEIS “will be a leader in the intelligence field,” said Tom Middleton, who will head the new unit.

“Its creation demonstrates the Mission Essential Group’s commitment to serving its current and future government partners in the Intelligence Community as well as growth and innovation in the information technology and services industry,” he aded.

The formation of MEIS checks off another goal in the company’s strategic brand growth plan, said Gregory K. Miller, The Mission Essential Group’s founder and chairman.

“Our selection of Tom Middleton as its president places an accomplished key executive at the helm with the experience, knowledge, and relationships required to take this line of business to the next level,” he added.
