Senior reporter Amanda Ziadeh is joined by XLA CEO Gary Slack as he shares his experience fighting a mild case of COVID-19 after going on a cruise earlier this year. Now fully recovered, Slack advises everyone to listen to their body and note any unusual symptoms, like losing taste and smell, as the virus is “sneaky and unforgiving.” Continuing the discussion, Slack talks about the procedures and policies XLA adopted at the start of the pandemic to keep employees safe and employed, and how the pandemic’s personal and industry impact may change the way he plans to do business going forward.
