Senior reporter Amanda Ziadeh is joined by Peter Singer, strategist and senior fellow at the New America Foundation and author of the new science-tech fiction book, “Burn-In: A Novel of the Real Robotic Revolution.” Singer discusses what sparked the idea for “Burn-In”— which is described as blending science fiction with science fact — and the book’s major themes, as it follows a FBI special agent’s new assignment to field-test an advanced police robot. Singer also shares how the current COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the trends discussed in the novel. “Burn-In” is now available for purchase through most major book retailers.
