    Kevin Fogarty, Leidos

Kevin Fogarty has spent 18 years developing a career at Leidos, and now focuses on creating scaled-agile approaches to cyber mission management application development and implementing a companywide cyber R&D lab to provide for rapid prototyping and testing of cyber capabilities. He serves as chief technology officer of Leidos’ Cyber and SIGINT Solutions Operation.

Differentiated by the breadth of cybersecurity experience across its four business groups — Defense, Intelligence, Civil and Health —Leidos supports the nation’s most critical cyber missions.

“Our teams operate three of the federal government’s four largest security operations centers and conduct full-spectrum cybersecurity support,” Fogarty said. “We seek opportunities for applied R&D through the Leidos Innovations Center (LInC), which performs advanced cyber research for customers including DARPA, IARPA, and other DoD research labs.”

Fogarty’s team focuses on areas such as deepfake technologies and persona development, and application of data science and machine learning principles to cyber mission management.

“We have a keen interest in the state of quantum computing,” Fogarty said. “These advancements will have a significant impact on the architecture of our system defenses and capabilities.”

    Why Watch:

In 2020, he will focus on continuing to grow and integrate new capabilities.

“Leidos has well-established technical core competencies, and with the recent acquisition of Dynetics, this will only add to our complimentary cybersecurity capabilities,” Fogarty said. “By integrating their advanced R&D, we will continue to offer differentiated solutions that protect our customer’s most critical platforms.”
