Armed Forces Services Corp., operating as Magellan Federal, has been awarded the Family Advocacy Support Services contract by the U.S. Army Installation Management Command.

The contract has a 1-year base with three, 1-year options for a maximum potential value of $42.2 million, if all options are exercised.

“As the leading complex population and behavioral health company in the country, I’m confident in our team’s deep experience and proven approaches, which are designed to enhance the resiliency and quality of life of our soldiers and their families,” said Magellan Federal CEO Oscar Montes. “Ultimately, these support systems have an important impact on our Army’s combat readiness.”

The new FASS program combines two existing programs: Army Domestic Abuse Victim Advocacy Program and the New Parent Support Program. Magellan Federal has supported both since 2012.

The consolidated program provides new parent support and domestic abuse victim advocacy services to more than 14,000 Soldiers and families per year. In addition, the contract calls on Magellan Federal to provide 24/7 victim response, home visitation, hands-on education, case management and accompaniment to court and other appointments.
