Advanced Concepts and Technologies International LLC has appointed Air Force veteran and senior government contracting and acquisition management expert Nedim Kirimca as executive vice president of operations.

Kirimca has more than 30 years of experience in program management, engineering and procurement roles, including 26 years as an Air Force officer and six years of project management leadership. In his new position with ACT I, Kirimca will develop the organization’s overall program management strategies and provide leadership to program managers by partnering with corporate leadership.

Kirimca will report to ACT I Chief Operating Officer Claudio Monticelli, who said ACT I is delighted Kirimca is joining the leadership team.

“Nedim’s strong program management pedigree, along with business and operations experience directly aligns with ACT I’s business model and strategic priorities,” Monticelli said.

In the Air Force, Kirimca held senior acquisition, program management and contracting roles. Those include director of F-35 production with the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office; program executive officer for sourcing with the Defense Department’s Business Transformation Agency; and commander of the 409th Supply Chain Management Squadron.

He also served on the Pentagon staff with the Air Force legislative liaison and director of Global Power Programs in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology & Logistics.

In GovCon, Kirimca led contract portfolios as part of Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, where he supervised personnel and program managers and directed contracts with customers across the departments of defense and homeland security.
