
Stephanie Turner has been appointed MITREās vice president of inclusion, diversity and social innovation. She leads the organizationās inclusion and diversity programs, and will establish a new function for social innovation programs.
āMITRE has always performed a strong social impact role in our communities,ā said Jason Providakes, MITRE president and CEO. āThe creation of this new position is to strengthen inclusion and diversity at MITRE as well as demonstrate MITREās commitment to social innovation and change in our communities by fostering more collaboration and building networks.ā
Turner will help MITRE to maximize relationships with external organizations, with an initial focus on STEM education in underserved communities. She will also lead corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Turner comes to the task with 25 years of human resources leadership experience in strategic planning, professional development, process improvement, talent acquisition, multicultural marketing and employee engagement. She most recently served as vice president of diversity and inclusion strategic engagement at Liberty Mutual Insurance.
