Situational awareness provider MAG Aerospace has agreed to acquire AASKI Technology in a move that aims to bolster MAG’s position in the market as a provider of full-spectrum C5ISR solutions to customers worldwide.

Founded in 1997, New Jersey-based AASKI provides professional services for planning, designing, implementing, securing, and managing mission-critical networks and systems. AASKI’s clients include the Defense Department and leading communication service providers, among others.

“When considering all our options, the one that stood out the most is the fastest growing company serving the Department of Defense, MAG Aerospace, and the outstanding support that they provide to the Warfighter,” said Bharat Parikh, AASKI CEO. “It is an honor to join such an exceptional company,”

MAG CEO Joe Fluet pointed to AASKI’s reputation of “excellence in end-to-end communications, logistics and lifecycle management.”

“We are proud to have AASKI join the MAG Aerospace team with the shared goal of making the world smaller and safer,” he said

Baird served as AASKI’s exclusive financial adviser and legal counsel was provided by Holland & Knight LLP. Legal counsel to MAG was provided by Ropes & Gray LLP and Cooley LLP.

The transaction is slated to be finalized in the second quarter of 2020.
