Heart Ball supporters gathered Feb. 22 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C., for a night of dinner, dancing and fundraising to support the American Heart Association — raising more than $1.4 million for the organization’s mission.

The 2020 Greater Washington Region Heart Ball was chaired by Perspecta CEO Mac Curtis and his wife Cindy and hosted 500 guests.

The evening included a live auction, an Open Your Heart Appeal and a space for attendees to connect, influence and invest in advancing efforts to change heart disease and stroke outcomes.

In line with this year’s theme, “Clear Eyes. Full Hearts Can’t Lose,” the night also featured a keynote from former NFL quarterback Joe Theismann and a special video message from the Washington Nationals’ Manager Dave Martinez.

This year’s Heart Ball local sponsors included Perspecta, Karen and Dale White and the Bender Foundation, Inc.
