Hitachi Vantara Federal has expanded its sales leadership team with the additions of industry veterans Tim Angelos and Troy Grubbs as sales directors.

Angelos and Grubbs will focus on accelerating visibility of the company’s data-drive technologies and solutions that support critical federal IT missions. The duo will help develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing public sector customers and partners.

Jimmie Adkins, vice president of sales at Hitachi Vantara Federal, said Angelos and Grubbs will be instrumental in helping customers navigate and develop appropriate solutions for complex data environments.

“With decades of experience in sales, business development and operations, theirs is exactly the dynamic needed to identify new opportunities, generate growth, and tackle the emerging needs and challenges of our end-users,” Adkins said.

Prior to Hitachi Vantara Federal, Angelos managed sales and Defense Department solutions portfolios for enterprise application software company MicroFocus. He has more than 25 years of experience in the hardware, software and security industries, having held positions at Hewlett Packard/Fortify, Loudcloud and Nortel.

Angelos will now lead a team to create and deliver data-oriented solutions that increase digital transformation efforts for customer agencies including the Defense Department, the intelligence community and the FBI.

“Joining Hitachi Vantara Federal marks an exciting opportunity in my career and I look forward to creating new business solutions to drive both innovation and growth,” Angelos said.

Grubbs has more than 20 years of data storage experience in federal sales. He’s worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, NetApp, Inc. and most recently, at application services and delivery company F5 Networks. There, he developed new business opportunities to drive net-new incremental revenue with systems integrators and channel partnerships.

Grubbs also expressed his enthusiasm for joining the Hitachi Vantara Federal team.

“From day one the company’s culture and drive to meet customer goals stood out to me and I knew I wanted to be here,” he said. “I am thrilled to work with such a talented group of people in implementing truly transformative technology.”
