George Wilson, President, ECS
George Wilson approaches leadership with enthusiasm and purpose. He became ECS CEO in 2014, guiding the company through a period of rapid growth and transformation. In 2018, ECS was acquired by ASGN Inc., a multibillion-dollar provider of IT and professional services. A provider of advanced technology, science and engineering solutions, ECS serves defense, homeland security, intelligence and commercial organizations.
During Wilson’s tenure, ECS has executed, integrated and managed successful acquisitions and partnerships while investing in the expansion of the company’s capabilities, expertise and capacity. In 2014, the company’s revenue was just over $100 million. Today, the company is on track to meet Wilson’s goal: $1 billion by 2022.
Why Watch:
“We’ve created an environment where the industry’s best come to solve problems for projects that matter — projects that protect the safety and security of our nation,” Wilson said.
The company’s focus on digital modernization, cloud solutions and cybersecurity has caught the attention of a growing number of federal agencies and military customers. Expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning help large-scale agencies make the most of critical data, streamline operations and optimize expenditures. ECS has now developed two centers of excellence, one in cloud and one in cybersecurity. The company also serves a growing number of commercial agencies, including global clients in retail and hospitality.
“Our people help us grow and we help our people grow,” Wilson said. “Forward-thinking developers, architects and engineers are excited about our projects, the problems they solve and the value they add to customer organizations. Technology is always changing, and we’re motivated not only about keeping pace but leading the charge in new areas of development.
“In 2020, look for us to continue to work with organization in the public and commercial sectors — including our nation’s defense and intelligence agencies — on cloud, digital modernization and cybersecurity projects preparing them to tackle next-generation technology challenges.”
