The Professional Services Council’s board of directors has chosen Leidos’ Roger Krone as chair of the board of directors and Parsons’ Carey Smith as vice chair. PAE CEO John Heller will serve as secretary of the board.

The PSC board is made up of 80 executives from member companies who have demonstrated leadership in the industry and commitment to PSC’s goals for building a fair and competitive federal contracting marketplace. They are nominated by their peers and reflect the breadth and diversity of PSC member companies.

As leaders of the board’s Executive Committee, Krone, Smith and Heller will shape the agenda and governance for the association, working closely with PSC leadership and staff to accomplish the association’s goals and objectives.

Carey was among WashingtonExec’s 2019’s Top 25 Execs to Watch and Heller made the 2016 Top 30 Execs to Watch list. Krone was recently profiled for his and Leidos’ work in fighting the opioid crisis.

“The professional services sector is an essential partner with the federal government in virtually all aspects of its operations – PSC plays a critical role by being a clear and consistent voice for those companies on important issues,” Krone said. “I look forward to serving in the chair capacity in 2020, working with other member companies to expand and strengthen our collective ability to reach decision makers, shape responses to ongoing challenges, and increase engagement with government agencies and other stakeholders.”

Krone, Smith and Heller’s terms are for one year.
