Centauri has tapped Jim Pietrocini as vice president of business development for space superiority and missile defense.
In his new role, Pietrocini will help bring the company’s engineering, intelligence, cybersecurity and advanced space and missile defense solutions to new government customers.
“I’m excited to join an organization with strong capabilities and a robust software development team,” Pietrocini said. “Centauri’s past performance demonstrates its ability to serve as a powerful lead integrator for several organizations.”
Pietrocini has more than 25 years of industry experience working in defense, federal technology and C4ISR markets. He previously held roles in sales and business development at Northrop Grumman, IBM, Salesforce and Elastic, where he focused on C2, cybersecurity, software development and data analytics.
Pietrocini also founded and served as CEO of the R.L. Phillips Group, which served the Defense Department.
“Jim’s strong track record will help us continue to grow and diversify our space and missile defense business unit,” said Centauri President and Chief Operations Officer Dennis Kelly. “There is a heavy need for DevSecOps in all services, so we’re excited to have Jim on board to help drive business growth.”
Pietrocini will report directly to Patricia Nunn, Centauri’s senior vice president of business development.
“Centauri is thrilled to welcome another industry veteran with rich experience to our growing business development team,” Nunn said.
