Transformation Systems, Inc. has announced Shawn D. James as president. In this new role, James will report directly to CEO Marta Wilson.

James will be responsible for strategic operations management with focus on building the organization’s success and impact. His management experience and industry knowledge will be seeping into the further advancing of the organization in its mission to help other organizations achieve their goals and cost-effective solutions.

James joined TSI in 2012 as the company’s chief growth officer. He led TSI’s expansion into new customer organization and the development of new services.

Prior to that, James held multiple executive positions including supporting the departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Energy and State and organizations such as BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin Corp. He was also a leader at mission solutions provider SOC LLC, where he was responsible for its Worldwide Protective Service Program and the stand-up of its Baghdad Embassy Security Force task order that had 2,000 employees deployed to Baghdad and supported operations in four additional countries and Conterminous U.S.

James said with the organization’s history of helping clients with challenging goals, he is honored to be serving as president.

“I hope to harness the inertia that my TSI colleagues have established to achieve even more successes for us and our expanding client base,” he said.

Prior to joining the industry, James was a career naval officer and has a bachelor’s degree in English from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master’s degree in IT management from the Naval Postgraduate School.
