Raytheon Co. Vice President and President of the Intelligence, Information and Services business Dave Wajsgras has won the WashingtonExec Pinnacle Award for the Intelligence Industry Executive of the Year.
In its second year, the annual Pinnacle Awards luncheon was held Oct. 31 at the Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner. The luncheon drew over 525 GovCon leaders and professionals and showcased exemplary GovCon leadership in industry and government.
Wajsgras has held his current position since March 2015. He oversees IIS as it provides a range of technical and professional services to intelligence, defense, federal and commercial customers. His sector specializes in areas of global intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; navigation; defense space and weather solutions; cybersecurity; analytics; logistics; mission support; engineering; automation and sustainment solutions and more.
Prior, Wajsgras was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Raytheon from March 2006 to March 2015. He directed the company’s overall financial strategy, provided extensive financial and operational expertise and was responsible for financial reporting and controls, merger and acquisition activity, planning and analysis, investor relations, tax and treasury.
Wajsgras joined Raytheon from Lear Corp., where he served as executive vice president and CFO and drove successful completions of domestic and international acquisitions and led strategic restructuring of the company. He also spent time as a corporate controller for Engelhard Corp., where he was responsible for internal and external reporting and corporate accounting, and held numerous financial management positions with Honeywell International, Inc.
Earlier this year, Wajsgras was named one of WashingtonExec’s 2019 Top 25 Execs to Watch, recognizing Raytheon for its advancements in its cybersecurity and next-generation GPS and technology solutions.
