Science, technology and strategy services provider Noblis has named retired Army Gen. Joseph L. Votel to its board of trustees.
As commander of the U.S. Central Command, Votel was responsible for the U.S. and coalition military operations in the Middle East, Levant and South Asia. In all, he spent 39 years in the military.
Votel is a strategic adviser for Sierra Nevada Corp., a distinguished non-resident at the Middle East Institute and the Belfer Center at the John F. Kennedy School of Government and an adviser to the Combating Terrorism Center. He was also announced as prospective president and CEO of Business Executives for National Security, effective January 2020.
