Perspecta, Inc.’s research arm Perspecta Labs has won a $2.9 million prime award from the Consortium Management, LLC on behalf of the Consortium for Command, Control and Communications in Cyberspace for work on a modular radio frequency communications solution for the Army.

Under the deal, Perspecta Labs will develop and deliver an automated Primary, Alternate, Contingency and Emergency, or PACE, communications solutions to warfighters.

PACE will feature an automated initialization process, eliminating the need for manual configuration. It will have an intelligent decision engine to select from and switch to diverse transport mechanisms, as well as a data model to collect and process critical information to inform the decision engine.

“Perspecta Labs will leverage its extensive expertise in tactical networking, RF communications and machine learning to design, implement and test this intelligent communications solution for the warfighter,” said Petros Mouchtaris, president of Perspecta Labs.

Work will be performed over a 12-month period.
