Veteran health care, product development, marketing and data strategist Darrell Johnson has been tapped as Cerner Corp.’s chief marketing officer, a newly created role for the company.
Johnson, who joins from Medtronic, will be responsible for developing new strategies, growing lines of revenue and helping guide the organization through its growth.
At Medtronic, Johnson’s most recent role was as vice president of corporate data strategy. He also led Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure Connected Care as vice president/general manager and served as vice president of global strategy and marketing for its global cardiac device portfolio.
Prior to Medtronic, Johnson served as general manager of telemetry and networking at GE Healthcare.
Johnson has a bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management.
