CALIBRE Systems, Inc. this week announced its latest executive addition: Sylvester “Sly” Cotton, who joins the company as vice president of growth for the defense market.
Cotton’s responsibilities include developing the core capabilities and market relationships of CALIBRE’s management consulting and digital transformation solutions as well as commanding CALIBRE’s Defense Department and Army growth expansion strategy.
Cotton has a master’s degree in national strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College and master’s degree in computers/information systems management from Webster University.
Prior to joining industry, Cotton was director of U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command’s Cyber Center of Excellence Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate. He was in charge of all aspects of transforming Fort Gordon, Georgia.
Cotton also has experience working at large publicly traded government contracting firms supporting Army customers.
