Tony Scardino has been tapped to serve as managing principal for CXO Transformation Services for Grant Thornton’s Public Sector practice, the company has announced.
Scardino previously was the chief financial officer and acting deputy director at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for nine years.
He has held leadership positions at multiple federal agencies and has experience directing complex organizations across multiple management areas. They include operations, finance, budget, procurement, IT and administrative activities.
“This role is well-suited for my background, experience and interests, and I appreciate the opportunity to work for a firm so well-respected in the public sector space to which I’ve dedicated my professional life,” Scardino said. “I look forward to working with agencies to help them solve operational challenges more efficiently and effectively.”
Scardino has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in public administration from SUNY Geneseo and Albany.
