Professional, technology and management services company Serco Inc. has won a 1-year task order worth $8.3 million from the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific.
The deal is for upgrades to Giant Voice Mass Notification Systems, a voice announcing system using exterior speakers to warn communities in the vicinity of naval installations of impending danger, at several locations in the Western Pacific. Serco’s role will be to provide production and installation services.
“Serco has a 20-plus year legacy of rapidly providing highly reliable support to meet the emerging requirements of the Navy,” said Dave Dacquino, Serco chairman and CEO. “Serco is proud of the base modernization services we are providing to help secure our bases, and detect and respond to threats.”
This task order was awarded under the $232 million Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Naval Electronic Surveillance Systems Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity contract.
