Dovel Technologies Adds Jon Brooks as Chief Legal Officer, SVP of Corporate Development

Jon Brooks, former vice president of mergers and acquisitions for Engility Holdings, Inc., has joined Dovel Technologies’ executive team as chief legal officer and senior vice president of corporate development.

Brooks also served as deputy general counsel for Engility, where he led the company’s over $2 billion sale to Science Applications International Corp. and its acquisitions of TASC, Inc. and Dynamics Research Corp. He also oversaw Engility’s compliance, public company reporting and governance functions.

In his new position at Dovel Technologies, Brooks will oversee legal, compliance, contracts and procurement functions, and drive corporate development efforts toward growth and mergers and acquisitions.

And the company’s approach to customer challenges, mixed domain expertise and the way it applies technology to solutions is what drew Brooks to Dovel as his next career step.

“I see huge potential in this company and am excited to now be part of the team that will drive their vision not only for corporate growth but for customer support forward,” Brooks said.

In 2018, the company brought in more than $200 million in revenues. The addition of Brooks to its executive team aligns with Dovel’s growth goals.

“His transactional, legal, and compliance experience will be a huge asset to our team as we look to expand the solutions we develop for the Health IT, Life Sciences, and Grants markets,” Dovel CEO Paul Leslie said.
