Tyto Athene announced today its acquisition of Island Information Technology Consultants, a move expected to boost Tyto Athene’s capabilities in the intelligence community.
The addition of IITC is a part of Tyto Athene and backer Arlington Capital Partners’ strategy of creating a mid-market mission critical technology solutions and services business serving government customers, Tyto Athene said.
The combination of the two companies “enables us to create significantly greater value in our client’s decision making capabilities and processes,” said Jeff Murray, Tyto Athene CEO.
“IITC brings tremendous capabilities, people, values, and mission awareness that combined can be used across the entire Tyto Athene portfolio to create better outcomes for our customers,” he said.
Dennis Powell, founder and CEO of IITC, said the companies have the same attitude toward customer support and employee welfare.
“I believe this union can only enhance what we can do for each other, our employees, and our customers,” he said. “We look forward to what the future holds.”
Bob Kipps, managing director at KippsDeSanto & Co., who tracks M&A activity, said:
“IITC is an exciting strategic fit into the mission-oriented strategy — around secure information sharing — Arlington Capital has for its portfolio company, Tyto Athene.”
