Serco Wins $53M in Naval IT and Engineering Support Work

Serco, Inc. has been awarded a 4-year task order under the Seaport Enhanced contract vehicle to deliver technical and programmatic support at U.S. Naval bases worldwide. The contract’s total value is $53 million, and has a 1-year base period and three option years.

Seaport-e is the U.S. Navy’s contract vehicle to procure all future engineering, technical, logistical, program management and financial support services. It holds multiple awards and is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity vehicle.

Servo is joining Seaport-e to provide support in IT, anti-terrorism force protection systems, enterprise land mobile radio, dispatch, alarms, network engineering, network roll-out, and information assurance for all Navy regions globally, according to the company.

Serco Chairman and CEO Dave Dacquino said the company is excited to grow its shore modernization services.

“Our team put together a solution that tapped into our extensive past performance in helping our nation secure our military bases and detect and respond to cyber security threats,” he said.

This isn’t Serco’s introduction to naval work – the company has been supporting the Navy with live cycle sustainment, acquisition and integration support for anti-terrorism/force protection naval electronic surveillance systems since 2001.

Plus, Serco has been helping integrate more efficient communications between state and local government agencies to better share and respond to terrorism threats.

Earlier this month, the company was also awarded a single-award IDIQ contract to provide field office support services to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. The contract has a 1-year base period and four option years with a ceiling value of $200.5 million.
