Science Applications International Corp. has opened a new office in Austin, Texas, a move that places the company closer to the Army Futures Command.
Growing its Austin footprint aligns with SAIC’s commitment to rapidly deliver emerging technologies to solve its customers’ most vexing problems, the company said.
“Our customers’ appetite for rapid innovation is growing and the need to deliver innovative solutions faster is critical,” said Jim Scanlon, SAIC executive vice president and general manager of the Defense Systems Group.
The new office is based out of the Capital Factory, which has a community that will expand SAIC’s ecosystem of partners, including startups and IT market leaders, said Josh Jackson, SAIC executive vice president and general manager of the Solutions & Technology Group.
SAIC has supported the Air Education and Training Command’s Pilot Training Next effort since early 2018. PTN is conducted at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Austin.
