Shipbuilder Huntington Ingalls Industries has completed the acquisition of Fulcrum IT Services after announcing in January its intent to buy the Centreville, Virginia-headquartered IT and government consulting company.
HII said last month the acquisition of Fulcrum would expand its capabilities in enhanced situational awareness and predictive threat analytics through Fulcrum’s advanced engineering, cybersecurity, software development, big data engineering, and intelligence and special operations experience.
Fulcrum will now become a part of HII’s Technical Solutions division, whose expertise include cybersecurity, software development, unmanned systems, training, modeling and simulation, nuclear operations, fleet services and oil and gas engineering.
Andy Green, executive vice president of HII and president of Technical Solutions, said in January that Fulcrum’s capabilities were “strongly aligned with national security priorities and complement our priority practice areas.”
“The company’s unique experience and capabilities across the C5ISR domain grow our reach and support in the intelligence and special operations communities,” he added then.
