Fight For Children, a Washington, D.C.-based-nonprofit focused on engaging with student athletes in high-need communities, hosted another successful Fight Night gala Nov. 1.

The annual black-tie event raised $2 million this year, and more than $67 million since its inception 29 years ago by the late Joseph E. Robert Jr. Funds raised at Fight Night support youth sports programming that fosters the physical, socio-emotional and academic development of children throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

“After 29 years, Fight Night is still — hands down — the best business networking event in town.” said Keith Gordon, president and CEO of Fight For Children.

Flo Rida was the headline act with the program’s traditional boxing theme at the Washington Hilton. The event also included a silent auction and was attended by local entrepreneurs, politicians, business leaders, and military personnel alike. Sponsors included Boeing, DMI, SOSi and many others from the region.
