    RJ Kolton, DSA

As senior vice president of business development at Data Systems Analysts, RJ Kolton is a numbers guy.

So here are a few key numbers about his tenure at DSA.

Under Kolton’s watch, the company’s revenue growth increased from $136 million in January 2017 to a projected $180 million by the end of this year — 33 percent growth over 18 months.

Kolton received the Business Development Executive of the Year award as part of the 2018 Pinnacle Awards. The award honored industry executives that led a successful capture of $100 million or more.

Kolton has led business development at DSA since May 2013, overseeing a team of 12 employees responsible for planning and implementing the business-development life cycle under standard operating procedures that he developed.

As SVP for business development, Kolton leads the continuous review and development of DSA’s service offerings, with the goal of continually assessing customer requirements in the context of dynamic technological change and evolving customer challenges and threats.

Among the initiatives he’s spearheaded was facilitating DSA’s Innovative Workshop, which brought together the company managers and specially selected subject-matter experts to study key technological issues, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, the internet of things, cybersecurity and agile development.

The 2018 Pinnacle Awards, which honor leaders and influencers in the GovCon space, were presented by WashingtonExec on Nov. 1.

Winners were named from list of 50 finalists across 13 categories.
