Advanced analytics technology firm Novetta has acquired Berico Technologies.

The deal closed Nov. 7 with Baird acting as financial adviser to Berico.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Berico to the Novetta family, creating a powerhouse of talent and innovative technologies to support our customers,” said Novetta President and CEO Tiffanny Gates. “Berico has an outstanding reputation across the IC for cloud engineering and architecture solutions. Combining our operations provides new opportunities for growth, and our capabilities are strengthened by joining forces.”

Novetta provides services to nearly all government agencies related to defense and national security. Berico was founded in 2006 and is based in Reston, Virginia. It delivers cloud engineering, data analytics and IT modernization solutions to intelligence community customers, including the Defense Intelligence Agency, the National Media Exploitation Center and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

“Novetta is a perfect fit for Berico in terms of mission, culture, technologies and values,” said Marybeth Wootton, Berico Technologies CEO. “Together we share a drive for building customer-focused next-generation solutions, implementing new technologies, and supporting internal R&D.”

Novetta has strengthened its partnerships with Elastic and AWS this year as well as growing its workforce by 30 percent prior to closing the deal with Berico. Earlier this month, Novetta leaders predicted a nearly 50 percent increase in year-over-year new contract awards.
