Sage Communications, a major player in the government marketing sector, has acquired Virtual Marketing LLC, a boutique firm with a specialty in marketing technology and professional services to the government.
Sage celebrated the deal as a strategic investment that would bolster the company’s long-term growth goals.
“Virtual Marketing’s acquisition by Sage Communications will greatly enhance our government marketing growth opportunities immediately,” said David Gorodetski, co-founder and chief operating officer of Sage Communications. “We look forward to continuing to build an industry-leading company filled with a unique combination of industry thought leaders and award-winning communication practitioners, to provide the best-in-class public sector marketing for OEM’s, Channel Partners, and System Integrators. Our cultures, client rosters, skills and philosophies align remarkably well, and we believe that joining forces will make us an even more formidable government marketing communications firm capable of supporting our rapidly growing list of clients at extraordinary levels.”
Sage’s clients include Amazon Web Services, Dell EMC, ATT Global Public Sector and Splunk.
“We’ve had a long-standing partnership with Sage, and I believe this acquisition will enhance the experience of our clients who engage with us for expertise in government marketing,” said Lou Anne Brossman, founder and president of Virtual Marketing. “The fusion of both organizations unites our mutual drive for innovation, entrepreneurialism, analytics and market leadership. We look forward to offering our clients a more comprehensive suite of services that complement the work we are already doing.”
After the agreement is finalized, Virtual Marketing will operate as a division of Sage Communications and will continue to operate under the leadership of Brossman.
Virtual Marketing’s Stephanie Geiger, vice president of operations and marketing coordinator, Lindsay Robb will also join the Sage Communications team.
Government Marketing University, which is associated with Virtual Marketing, will remain independent outside of this acquisition.
