ECS has been awarded a contract to lead the U.S. Transportation Command’s commercial cloud initiative.

Under the contract, ECS will provide a secure, flexible and cost-effective commercial cloud service offering that enables automation and scaling of infrastructure and IT capabilities.

USTRANSCOM is responsible for coordinating the Defense Department’s transportation needs.

“At ECS, our approach is based on a solid understanding of cloud capabilities and services, along with their benefits and possibilities,” said Michael “Mick” Perry, vice president for mission systems at ECS. “We are excited to build upon our relationship with USTRANSCOM and continue to solidify our position as a leading cloud managed service provider for the DoD.”

ECS is a Premier and Gold Partner for AWS, Microsoft, and Google cloud platforms. Through its Cloud Center of Excellence, ECS provides expert cloud consulting, managed services and full direct resale access to the leading cloud service providers.
