LMI Wins $220M USBP Deal to Support Border Patrol Office

LMI has been chosen as the prime task order awardee to provide system acquisition lifecycle and engineering support services to U.S. Border Patrol’s Program Management Office Directorate.

The Acquisition Program Management and Technical Solutions task order, worth over $220 million, is one of the most significant awards in LMI’s 56-year history, the company said.

The single-award task order has a 1-year base period with four 1-year options.

To support PMOD’s responsibilities, LMI will provide services related to program management of the task order, acquisition and program management, and lifecycle logistics management.

Other services include technical and engineering support for electronic technologies; environment planning support; and cost-estimating support for PMOD’s contract award process.

LMI began supporting USBP as a single contractor 13 years ago, said Scott Recinos, director of LMI’s Homeland Security Department and U.S. Customs and Border Protection support.

“To see the level of support we are entrusted to provide today is incredibly rewarding and a testament to LMI’s reputation for helping clients achieve mission success,” he said.

Earlier this month, LMI won a spot on a multibillion-dollar contract from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services aimed at developing and implementing health care quality measures.
