    Al Pisani, Mission Essential

Mission Essential has hired Al Pisani to be the defense and intelligence contractor’s president, the company announced.

Pisani, a defense industry veteran, will be responsible for expanding Mission Essential’s portfolio of language, intelligence and cybersecurity programs.

He will report directly Gregory K. Miller, the board chairman.

“Al is the keystone in our strategy for the next phase of Mission Essential,” Miller said. “His personal mission is to update the company’s portfolio of services and operational approach to today’s volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous challenges.”

Pisani formerly held executive roles at Dun & Bradstreet, Serco Inc., Northrop Grumman and TASC. He will replace Sunil Ramchand, who stepped down after three years as Mission Essential CEO.

“Sunil was an integral part of Mission Essential for 10 years,” Miller said. “We are grateful for his leadership and his sacrifices on behalf of the company – we wouldn’t be where we are without him.”
