The Fight Night gala, which raises money for at-risk children throughout the Washington, D.C., area is set for Nov. 1.
The black-tie event, which has traditionally featured a boxing theme, takes place at the Washington Hilton at 1919 Connecticut Ave. NW in D.C.
The event includes a welcome reception and silent auction starting 6 p.m. The main event in the hotel ballroom runs from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and features the Grammy-nominated entertainer Flo Rida as the headliner act. The post-party runs from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
The first Fight Night was held in 1990 and the annual event has since helped raise more than $65 million. Funds raised help support the charity Fight For Children and its mission to help support student athletes and quality youth sports programming in high-need communities throughout D.C.
