Former General Dynamics Information Technology intelligence executive Adam Rudo has been hired as ManTech International‘s new senior vice president and general manager of the company’s security solutions business unit.

Rudo, who spent less than six months at GDIT, will focus on driving the unit’s work for the U.S. intelligence community. The unit is part of ManTech’s Mission, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions Group.

Rudo succeeds Paul Gentile, who’s retiring Jan. 4. He took on the role of general manager of the Security Solutions group in November 2013. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president and deputy business unit general manager of SAIC’s Integrated Systems Group.

“As a leader with a proven record of supporting the needs of our nation’s Intelligence Community, Adam Rudo will hit the ground running at ManTech,” said Rick Wagner, president of ManTech’s MCIS Group. “His leadership, customer and technical experience providing IT solutions and direct mission support to these customers uniquely positions him to lead our Security Solutions Business Unit.”

Rudo previous worked nearly 12 years in senior management and technical leadership roles at Lockheed Martin Corp. He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon and a master’s degree in computer engineering from Villanova University.
