Defense contracting giant Leidos has won a prime contract by the U.S. Air Force to provide integration services for the shops that service the electronics aboard F-16 fighter jets.

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite quantity contract comes with a 3-year base period, two 1-year option years and carries a total potential value of $620 million.

Under the deal, Leidos will support the Air Force Avionics Intermediate Shop Product Support Integration program. The company will serve as a product support integrator for the F-16 avionics shops that perform maintenance on the fighter aircraft’s electronics systems.

“Ensuring our customer has what is needed to keep their F-16 fleet in the air requires expert product support and logistics through integrated services at a large scale,” said Aaron Bedrowsky, senior vice president of operations and logistics solutions at Leidos. “Leidos will be providing world-class management services and logistics solutions for their Air Force’s critical mission of keeping F-16s at the ready.”

Additional services called for in the deal include sustaining and procuring test program hardware and software and managing automated test equipment components, the company said.

Work will take place at Hill Air Force base in Utah and help support seven U.S. Air Force major commands.
