    Cornerstone Defense Names Bill Varner to Board

    IT services provider Cornerstone Defense has named former long-time ManTech executive Bill Varner to its board of directors.

    “Bill brings a history of success delivering solutions to defense and intelligence agencies,” said Chris Goodrich, CEO of Cornerstone Defense.”His experience across multiple government agencies will add a valuable perspective to our team and compliments our strategy to deliver the highest quality technology services and solutions to our customers. We welcome him to our Board of Directors.”

    Varner retired as president of ManTech’s Mission, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions group at the end of 2017 after a more than 40-year career in the government contracting sector. In addition to his role at ManTech, Varner was vice president and executive director of the Intelligence Operations Unit at Northrop Grumman-TASC.

    Varner said he looks forward to sitting on Cornerstone’s board.

    “I see Cornerstone as being a highly technical growing company,” he said. “I’m looking forward to working with the executive team and continuing to contribute to important missions within the United States government.”

    Cornerstone Defense, which is headquartered in Hanover, Maryland, specializes in cloud architecture, systems and network engineering, and application development.

    The company’s customers include the Defense Department and the intelligence community.
