Hybrid cloud security provider Caveonix has appointed a couple of private sector cybersecurity veterans to its board of directors, the company announced.
Tom McDonough, a Cisco executive, and Tom Noonan, co-founder of an Atlanta-based technology investment firm, will both join Caveonix’s board and have personally invested in the company.
Combined, the two men bring more than 50 years’ experience to Caveonix.
“We’re proud to welcome Tom Noonan and Tom McDonough, two of the savviest, most successful leaders in the cybersecurity industry, to Caveonix’s board,” said Tim Sullivan, Caveonix co-founder and CEO. “As we continue building our comprehensive hybrid cloud workload protection platform, their experience and guidance will enable us to scale and fill a massive market need for service providers and enterprises, allowing them to continuously detect, predict and act on cloud security threats, vulnerabilities and compliance requirements.”
Noonan co-founded TechOperators LLC, where he currently serves as a partner. Previously, he was chairman and CEO of Internet Security Systems, which IBM acquired in 2006 for $1.9 billion.
McDonough currently serves as an adviser for corporate development and integration at Cisco Systems. He previously worked as president and chief operating officer of Sourcefire for 11 years before the company was acquired by Cisco.
