Reston, Virginia-based IT services firm 1901 Group has promoted two executives to business development and operation positions.

Paul Wilkinson has been promoted to executive vice president leading corporate strategy and business development and James Christopher has been promoted to executive vice president of operations, the company announced.

“Paul and James have been outstanding contributors and instrumental in positioning 1901 Group as the innovative IT solutions provider delivering much needed gains in enterprise IT performance at a substantial economic value,” said CEO Sonu Singh. “This well-deserved change more accurately reflects their span of responsibility and authority within our company.”

Before joining 1901 Group, Wilkinson was the chief operating officer of List Innovation Solutions, where he helped support the company’s sale to Salient Federal Solutions. He previously held numerous leadership positions at SRA International and KPMG. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from George Mason University and is certified in project management from the Certified Project Management Institute.

Christopher brings over 25 years of industry experience at both large and small companies to 1901 Group, the company said. He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech.
