Salient CRGT, Inc. was awarded a new task order under its CIO-SP3 contract vehicle to provide enterprise IT support to the Defense Technology Security Administration (DTSA). This five-year  task order has an anticipated ceiling of $34.5 million. The contract has one base year and four option years.

Salient CRGT has been supporting the agency’s Security Policy Automation Systems since 1980. This task order also supports USXPORTS, an interagency program to support the Defense Department’s Presidential Initiative for Export Control Reform to reduce license processing times by providing more flexibility and automation in staffing across multiple agencies.

Salient CRGT will provide software development, project management, and operations and maintenance support to the DTSA Security Policy Automation Network (SPAN) and the USXPORTS interagency program. The team will streamline the current USXPORTS system through enhancements to best meet the business needs for the interagency Export Control Adjudication processes.

“This new task order builds on our current base of business with DTSA and provides the agency with increased support of their mission to protect the U.S. military’s technological edge in the most critical and sensitive areas,” said Tom Ferrando, CEO of Salient CRGT. “Our IT support services will allow DTSA to establish and maintain DoD compliant IT systems and tools that optimize organizational operations and expedite business processes.”

DTSA administers the development and implementation of DOD technology security policies and ensures critical U.S. military technological advantages are preserved by overseeing transfers that could prove detrimental to U.S. security.
