10Pearls has announced the acquisition of PowerStorm, a boutique custom development and consulting firm with offices in D.C. and the Philippines.

Founded by Dan Zipper and Karl Garcia in 2007, PowerStorm has helped businesses on their digital transformation journey through the creation of bespoke, software platforms and data-centric applications. By leveraging their more than 20 years of experience in software development and their global presence, 10Pearls further expands its development capabilities and footprint.

PowerStorm specializes in the full-service design, construction, and implementation of custom web applications, portals and open source integrations.

“Our goal is to provide the best possible service to our customers, and through this acquisition and the expansion of our delivery capabilities we are able to do just that. This acquisition adds tremendous value to our customers in terms of adding global diversity to our delivery locations worldwide,” said Imran Aftab, CEO of 10Pearls. “This is our fourth successful acquisition in four years and we are extremely excited to have the PowerStorm founders and employees join our team.”

Karl Garcia, Co-Founder at PowerStorm, said, “We look forward to joining the 10Pearls family and meeting the challenges of today’s digital ecosystem head on.”

“PowerStorm will continue to provide the best possible experience for our clients — we share the same values and customer centric approach to delivering services,” said Dan Zipper, Co-Founder of PowerStorm. “Our team in Cebu, Philippines will operate alongside 10Pearl’s delivery center in Karachi, Pakistan to provide around the clock support.”
