The Carlyle Group has announced Larry Prior, former president and CEO of information technology services company CSRA, Inc., has been hired as an operating executive consultant for the Aerospace, Defense & Government Services team.
Prior will provide investment guidance, from sourcing to acquisition, to Carlyle professionals in the Global Aerospace, Defense and Government Services Group and advise portfolio company executives on management, operations and growth strategies.

Prior was most recently CEO of CSRA, a $9.6 billion provider of IT, business operations and specialized engineering services for local, state and federal government clients across North America. Previously, Prior was vice president and general manager of the Defense and Intelligence Group in CSC’s North American Public Sector business, providing next-generation technology solutions and mission services to the Defense Department and the intelligence community.
