ManTech has announced the appointment of Matt Tait as president of the company’s Mission Solutions & Services (MSS) Group, reporting to president and CEO Kevin Phillips. In this role, Tait will lead the company’s mission-critical support to national security and federal civilian departments and agencies, delivering a broad range of digital services that enables ManTech to simultaneously scale rapidly and provide unmatched support to its customers.
The appointment is effective July 1, following the retirement of Dan Keefe, who has led ManTech’s MSS Group since 2013. Tait will officially join ManTech on June 19.
Tait joins ManTech from Accenture, where he served most recently as senior managing director and Defense lead responsible for Defense Department, Military Health and Veterans Affairs customers. From 2010 to 2015 he was the civilian health lead, earning renown for his leadership in transforming HealthCare.gov into a proficient platform serving the needs of hundreds of millions of Americans.
“Matt will provide strong leadership in deploying emerging technologies to meet our customers’ most critical national security and homeland security needs,” Phillips said. “He has the unique ability to accelerate robust digital transformation, while helping customers effectively operate, enhance and sustain fielded systems globally throughout the systems life cycle.”
“I am excited to join the ManTech team because of its recognition as a trusted partner that puts the customer mission first,” Tait said. “For 50 years, ManTech has set the standard for excellence in our industry, and earned the respect of customers for its vital role in safeguarding our nation.”
Prior to his work at Accenture, Tait served 10 years as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He holds a B.S. degree from the U.S. Naval Academy.
