Siemens Government Technologies has tapped Mike Jin, a senior IT director at SOS International, LLC, as its new chief information officer.

Jin will lead the enterprise IT strategy for the organization, supporting a broad range of technology applications and services to support teams delivering critical solutions in energy, infrastructure, automation and modernization for U.S. government customers, SGT said.

“We are very fortunate to have Mike join SGT,” SGT Chief Financial Officer Clay Hale said. “[O]ver the course of his career, he has proven time and again that his unique combination of IT business savvy – paired with a depth of understanding for emerging technology trends – has routinely delivered results with bottom line impact to the organizations he has served. ”

Jin previously was the senior IT director for SOSi, where he was responsible for a suite of IT products and services, including cloud-based solutions, business continuity, cybersecurity and penetration testing, as well as designing a digital IT environment to support proposal development and new business capture activities. Before working for SOSi, Jin led IT operations, strategy and budgets at Acentia LLC, which was acquired by Maximus in 2014.

Jin is a member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Big Data, Cybersecurity & Data Committee.

SGT focuses its business on helping the government national imperatives in energy, infrastructure, automation and marine platforms, the company said.
