    J. Warren Stembridge, PAE’s national security solutions vice president of intelligence, has been awarded the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal, the company announced.

Stembridge, who retired from the CIA in December 2016 after more than 31 years of service, will be recognized for “a cumulative record of service that reflects increasing levels of responsibility or increasingly strategic impact and with distinctly exceptional achievements that constitute a major contribution to the mission of the agency.”

“It was a great honor and actually quite humbling to receive the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal,” Stembridge said. “It was my great fortune to be surrounded by an incredible team of professionals during my 32-year Agency career. Their support and sharing of expertise helped me learn every day.”

PAE CEO John Heller congratulated Stembridge on the award, and said that his experience is invaluable to PAE’s ability to provide high-quality, mission-critical support to customers in the intelligence community.

“Whether serving as a public servant at the Agency, or with us in the private industry at PAE, his expertise continues to benefit our country’s national security mission,” Heller said.

During his career, Stembridge served in the Washington, D.C., area, in the domestic U.S. and overseas, in positions of increasing scope and responsibility. In 2005, he entered the Senior Intelligence Service and served in various leadership positions, his last being the deputy director of the Office of Congressional Affairs. He joined PAE in 2017.

In his current role with PAE, Stembridge works directly with industry and U.S. government agencies within the intelligence community to identify solutions to today’s national security challenges.
